Seriously injured in a car and truck accident in Baja Urraul
A 42-year-old man has been evacuated by medicalized helicopter to the Navarra University Hospital Complex with severe polytrauma.
A 42-year-old man was seriously injured this afternoon in a collision between a tourist and a truck on the A-21 road in Urraul Baja and was taken by helicopter to the Navarra University Hospital.
The accident took place in the Pamplona sense, at kilometre 30 of the A-21, when a car collided from behind with a lorry.
The man has been trapped inside the vehicle and has been taken to hospital with severe prognosis injuries.
The Emergency Management Centre 112 has been alerted to the accident at around 5.27 p.m. and the Sangüesa Park Fire Brigade, the area's medical team, an advanced life support ambulance), another basic life support ambulance, an advanced life support helicopter and Foral Police road safety patrols have immediately moved to the scene.
The right lane of the road has had to be cut off for vehicles, resulting in traffic jams.
Traffic has been diverted by Foral Police patrols and the investigation has been left to members of the Foral Police Affidavit Brigade.
