According to the city council, the trolley driver and three other people have been taken to hospital, while the rest of the wounded have been treated at the scene.
Apparently, the collision occurred when the bus on the A9 line of the Santa Marina-Abando Hospital had to perform a manoeuvre at the roundabout to avoid a taxi that had crossed over, causing it to collide head-onwith the tram as itwas crossing the Circular Square at the time.
