Arrested the alleged perpetrator of the murder of Azpeitia in Ondarroa
The Ertzaintza had been looking for him since Tuesday, and finally the alleged murderer turned himself in to the Ertzain-Etxea this morning.
The Ertzaintza today arrested in Ondarroa a 43-year-old man accused of being the alleged perpetrator of last Tuesday's murder in Azpeitia, who surrendered to the Ertzaintza premises in the Biscay town.
At around 8.15 p.m. last Tuesday, 1 September, on Artzubia Avenue in Azpeitia, a man shot dead another , from which he fled in a vehicle, the severity of which resulted in the death of the 31-year-old victim there.
Around 23:25, the suspect's vehicle was found in another part of the town of Azpeitia.
After several days of searching and searches at various points in and around Azpeitia, the alleged perpetrator, a 43-year-old man, surrendered at 5.30 a.m. to the Ertzaintza police station in Ondarroa, where he was arrested on charges of murder with a firearm.
The detainee, who has a history of public health offences, will be brought before the court when the proceedings are completed.
