The man arrested for the murder of a taxi driver in Azpeitia has been taken into custody
The 43-year-old man turned himself in early Saturday morning at the Ondarroa police station and has since been at the disposal of the police. At the time of his arrest, the man had a weapon, although it is not yet known whether it was the same one he used in the murder.

The man arrested on charges of murdering a taxi driver in Azpeitia (Gipuzkoa) was taken to court today, according to the Basque Department of Security.
The 43-year-old man appeared on his own feet on Saturday at the Ertzaintza police station in Ondarroa (Bizkaia). At the time of his arrest, the man was carrying a gun, although it has not been reported whether it was used in the murder.
The murder took place at around 8.15 p.m. on Tuesday and on Artzubia Avenue in Azpeitia, where the victim, a 31-year-old taxi driver, was shot several times and the severity of his injuries resulted in his death at the scene, from which the attacker fled.
It has since been reported that the detainee has a historyof drug trafficking.
