A neighbour of Navarre has been identified for selling prohibited weapons over the Internet
The Civil Guard has temporarily blocked the website and proposed that its holder be subject to administrative sanction.
The Civil Guard has identified a neighbour of Navarre as the owner of a website that sold on the Internet weapons prohibited in Spain for private individuals, including portals offering carambit knives, throwing knives, machetes and extendable defenses.
The Civil Guard has reported that the website has been temporarily blocked and that an administrative sanction has been proposed against the holder in the Government delegation in Navarre.
The website was intercepted in cybersurveillance.
The website was intercepted by the intervention team of the Cybercommand of Weapons and Explosives while conducting cybersurveillance work . Arma-related products, collected in catalogues in Poland, Austria and Spain, were offered to individuals.
The website acted as an intermediary: it had no stock of these same goods, but it allowed customers to buy them over the Internet through transport companies that shipped the requested products from Poland, Austria or the Czech Republic.
The website has been temporarily blocked.
According to the Guardia Civil, the technical analysis carried out revealed that the website directly sold to the public products that, according to Spanish regulations, are prohibited from being held by private individuals.
During the investigation, the officers coordinated with the Pamplona Weapons and Explosives Intervention to identify the person responsible for the website and take appropriate action.
