One resident died and 18 people were injured in a fire at a residence in Pamplona
A 56-year-old woman died and 18 people had to be taken to hospital after a fire broke out around 8.55 p.m. this Saturday in a room in the Aita Menni residence in Pamplona.
One of the injured, a 62-year-old man, is in the intensive care unit , while two other people are in stable recovery, according to Health sources, who reported that the rest of the people treated suffer from mild smoke poisoning.
Six of the people who have needed health care are workers at the fire center, and as a preventive measure, and because residents are unable to stay overnight in the residence, they have had to relocate about 50 patients.
The National Police has taken over the proceedings and the Pamplona Municipal Police has cooperated in theoperation.
Aita Menni Psychiatric Clinic, Sister Hospital, is the reference center for the care of mentally ill patientsin Navarre.
