The AP-8 exit from Zarautz will be closed on Monday night in the Irun sense due to construction
The works will take place from 21:00 on Monday until 05:30 on Tuesday, so that vehicles wishing to enter Zarautz, Orio or Getaria will have to do so from the Zestoa/Zumaia link, then from the GI-632 and N-634, or change their sense in Aritzeta.
The works to connect the N-634 with the Errotaberri industrial complex in the Asti district of Zarautz (Gipuzkoa) will cause the departure of the AP-8 from Zarautz to be cut off in the early morning hours of Monday by vehicles from Bilbao, according to the Diputación Foral de Gipuzkoa.
The works will take place from 21:00 on Monday until 05:30 on Tuesday, when vehicles wishing toenter Zarautz, Orio or Getaria will have to do so from the Zestoa/Zumaia link and then from the GI-632 and N-634 roads. There is another option: to change directionin Aritzeta (GI-20-14) and then to Bilbao.
Provisional access to Zarautz from 29 September
In addition, from 29 September, the Council will begin work on the extension of the motorway exit branch, which will last two months, so that in this section a new road has been set up for vehicles wishing to enter Zarautz, Orio or Getaria from the AP-8, always in the direction of Irun. Drivers must leave the new road and cross Zarautz.
At the end of the work, however, the new exit branch will be in operation, and it will no longer be necessary to cross the town centre of Zarautz, as it will directly enter the Asti roundabout or the Abendaño polygon.
