Theinvestigating judge of the Pamplona High Court has ordered the young man who stabbed a classmateat the María Ana Sanz College in the Chantrea district last Tuesday to be placed in prison without bail and charged with attempted murder .
According to the arrest warrant, the events took place around 8:10 a.m. on Tuesday, when the detainee stabbed the victim in the abdomen with aknife he had acquired a few days earlier , after which I fled the scene and was arrested by the local police, the detainee and the victim are classmates at the vocational training centre in Chantrea, where, according to witnesses, there is a relationship of hostility between them.
The investigating judge has argued that there is sufficient evidence to determine the perpetrator of the crime, with the testimony of witnesses and the cameras of the training centre, and that the detainee has acknowledged the facts before the judge and that they were the result of a "heat".
It establishes two main grounds for imprisonment: on the one hand, it sees thehigh riskof escape because of the high penalties it may receive, and on the other hand, it considers the need to protect the victim from the possibility of reoffending.
