One person dies in Tordera from heavy rains in Catalonia

The president of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, has reported the death of a person in Tordera, in the province of Barcelona.

Illa reported the news in a message posted on her social network account X and conveyed her condolences to the victim's relatives.

The Catalan president has warned that the situation remains difficult , especially in northern Catalonia, and has urged citizens to maintain "maximum caution".

He has also called for the authorities to follow his instructions as the rain continues.
