Three young boys physically and sexually assaulted a minor girl in Zumaia

The Ertzaintza is investigating the "sexual and physical assault"of three young boys on a minor girl in Zumaia , although no one has been arrested so far, according to the Basque Department of Security.

The same source stated that the attack took place in the early morning hours of Sunday in this Guipuzcoana town, without providing any further information on what happened.

The Zumaia City Council, for its part, has condemned the attack in a statement published on its website, in which it conveys itsfull support and solidarity to the child who has been assaulted, his family and his environment. The City Council has also made available to the young person all the means at his disposal for such attacks, stressing that he will not tolerate "any aggression against women".

"Sexist violence has aggressors and aggressors, of course, but they do not occur in neglect, that is, they are not isolated cases; they are the result of a system that uses violence against women, it is structural male violence , "the City Council said in its note.

"It is the responsibility of the institutions to guarantee the human rights of the citizens and the Zumaia City Council reaffirms its political commitment to the fight against all manifestations of male violence."

He has also called for the involvement of all citizens because "the attitude of each of us can be decisive in preventing aggression".

For all these reasons, the City Council has announced that it will join next Friday, 9 October, the demonstration called by theZumaia Feminist Movement, which has been convened at 6 p.m. in Beheko plaza and in which all citizens have been summoned to participate.
