France will carry out strict weekend checks between Irun and Hendaia over demonstrations
Between 06:00 and 18:30, checks will be carried out on the Santiago Bridge, the Avenue Bridge (pedestrian) and the Behobia Bridge, as well as on the A-8 in Behobia.
The French authorities have informed the Ertzaintza that due to the demonstrations called for this Saturday in various localities , they will carry out thorough checks in Iparralde, on the border with Irun.
Checks will be carried out at different points between 06:30 and 18:30: Santiago zubia, Avenue Bridge (pedestrian) and Behobia Bridge , as well as at the A-8 inBehobia, according to the Basque Department of Security.
For this reason, the Ertzaintza, through the Traffic Unit of Gipuzkoa, agents of the Ertzain-etxea of Irun and the Local Police of Irun will work this Saturday in a coordinated manner to take the necessary measures to prevent any traffic jams that may occur during the day.
