A dozen arrests related to the 'Blocus' movement in Valencia, Bilbao or Malaga
Many shops have protected windows and reinforced security measures in the last few hours following the increase in arrests, accusing these young people of spreading calls for looting after calling for a gun protest.
The Civil Guard has arrested the founder of the 'Blocus' movement in Picanya, Valencia.
The security forces have carried out several operations in Valencia, in Bilbao, Malaga or inTenerife, and have arrested a dozen young people linked to the 'Blocus' movement who have been arrested in connection with the call spread on social networks for more sabotage and looting in shops coinciding withthe celebration of Halloween on Saturday 31 October.
These young people have been accused of spreading calls for looting after being called to protest with weapons and cocktails like Molotov, all in order to get "overwhelmed" by the police, who have arrested a 20-year-old in Bilbao for identifying him as the administrator of a social media account linked to the movement.
In this context, the security forces, as well as the autonomous and local police, have increased the monitoring of social networks and prepared special measures. In addition, many shops have protected their windows in cities such asMadrid, Bilbao, Valencia or Barcelona with wooden boards. The capital of Catalonia is where the most incidents are expected, as happened last Saturday.
The leader of the Spanish 'Blocus' movement was arrested on Friday in Picanya, Valencia, 24 hours before Halloween, when the 20-year-old was accused by the Civil Guard Information Headquarters of being "the main founder and instigator"of the violent movement.
The investigation began following a video broadcast on social media in which a hooded man called on other young people to sabotagehim, as had previously happened in France, where they were "ignored by peaceful protests. "
"We don't have access to decent housing , we don't even have good health services , schools are getting more and more screwed up, and they laugh in our face and then do whatever they want with our money, "said this hooded man, pointing out that this movement doesn't like any political parties.
In addition to its telegram channel, the 'Blocus' movement broadcasts videos and posters via TikTok, made from Artificial Intelligence, and with QR codes that send stakeholders to WhatsApp and Telegram and then to private channels.
