82 people have died from severe flooding in central and southern Texas, local authorities confirmed on Sunday.
Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha Jr., reported at a press conference that only in his jurisdiction, one of the hardest hit areas by natural disasters, has 68 deaths been recorded, including 40 adults and 28 minors, 18 ofwhom are adults and 10 children are still unidentified, to which must be added 14 others registered in neighbouring counties.
Emergency teams continue to search for 11 missing persons, including 10 girls and one monitor , who were at Mystic Christian Camp when the Guadalupe River overflowed. Texas GovernorGreg Abbott said on Sunday that at least 41 people are missing.
