From this Tuesday, Jimmy Kimmel (Jimmy Kimmel Live!) returns to ABC after being suspended for comments about the murder of ultra-right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.
Last week's decision by the ABC network to cancel the aforementioned program has caused a lot of controversy in the United States, putting the debate on freedom of expression and censorship at the centre.
Kimmel has also received a wave of solidarity from TV and Hollywood actors.
In connectionwiththe September 15 session, the head oftheFederal Communications Committee (appointed by Trump), Brendan Carr, told ABC that if the presenter was not "punished", action would be taken against the A0TV channel.
That decision was welcomed by US President Donald Trump, who eventhreatened to withdraw his authorization to broadcast to the media critical of him.
