Venezuela-Curazao-US-Norvegia: Machado's odyssey to receive the Nobel Peace Prize

The trip of the Venezuelan opposition Nobel Peace Prize laureate Maria Corina Machado to Oslo was an odyssey that began on Tuesday. She left her country by sea to Curazao and completed by plane a 9,000 kilometer journey to the capital of Orvegia.
In recent weeks, several hypotheses had been circulating as to whether Machado would arrive in Oslo to receive the prize, as the opposition leader had not appeared in public since last January, and it would not have been easy to circumvent the vigilance of Nicolas Maduro's government.
However, Machado arrived in the Norwegian capital in the early morning of Thursday on a private plane departing from Miami. Curazaon , on one of the islands of the Netherlands in the Caribbean, 65 kilometers from the coast of Venezuela, then made a technical stopover in Maine, USA, and from there to Oslo, finishing his trip on Thursday.
On Thursday morning, in Norway, Machado met on the balcony of the Grand Hotel in Oslo with his relatives, friends, political allies from various countries and dozens of Venezuelans who waited in the streets for hours to greet him.
Machado stressed in a video broadcast on the Norwegian public network that his presence in Oslo has been "a miracle" and that "many women and men in Venezuela have risked their lives to be with you tonight."
