Venezuela has confirmed that 100 people died in the US military attack
Delcy Rodriguez, executive vice president of Venezuela, has declared a week of national mourning to pay tribute to the victims.
Venezuela's Minister of theInterior, Diosdado Cabello , has confirmed that nearly 100 people were killed in the U.S. military attack on Venezuela, which ended with the kidnappingofPresident Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.
Among those killed are members of Maduro's personal security, as well as 32 membersof the Cuban intelligence services and army, according to local sources.
In addition, according to Cabello himself, the president and his wife suffered injuries during the kidnapping. Indeed, Cilia Flores has a head injury and Maduro has a wounded leg.
