The White House president announced the trip at the end of March, butthe February 28 offensive by Washington and Israel against Iran has delayed the trip, scheduled for March.
Before the official trip arrives in China, aChinese delegation will travel to South Korea, headed by Chinese Deputy Prime Minister He Lifeng, to "hold trade consultations with the US," a spokesman for the Asian Trade Ministry told Xinhua news agency.
These talks will come after Washington and Beijing reached a tariff truce in the South Korean city of Busan in October 2025.
