Prime Minister Kurti's party wins elections again in Kosovo

Kosovar Prime Minister Albin Kurti's Vetëvendosje (Self-determination) party won the legislative elections held this Sunday in Kosovo with 41.24% of the votewhen 40% of the votes were counted.
Behind are the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK, 21.93%) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK, 18.08%), according to official voting data, while the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo gets 8.31% support.
Before the official results were known, Kurti called for the vote to be protected and for the will of the people to be respected in the ballot box. "In today's election, the will of the people is within the ballot box and their protection is a prerequisite for the legitimacy and credibility of the electoral process," he said on social media.
He also praised the work of election workers and observers. "Right now our eyes, ears and attention are on you, commissioners and observers. You have a great and noble institutional responsibility on your shoulders, "he added.
This is the third time in a year and a half that Kosovar citizens voted this Sunday to resolve the political paralysis that has existed since February last year . The Parliament is not fully operational and the President can hardly make any decisions either because of the insurmountable discrepancies between Kurti's party and the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK).
