Already 1,450 people have diedin Venezuela as a result of the 7.2 and 7.5 degree earthquakes recorded on Wednesday, the presidentof the Venezuelan Parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, reported on Sunday afternoon.
"Today I must report that1,450 peoplehave already died as a resultof the most brutal natural disaster our country has ever suffered, "Rodriguez said in his latest balance sheet on Sunday afternoon.
There have also been 3,150 injured , despite the announcement of 3,238 injured on Saturday, in addition to 12,721 families affected.
Rodriguez has explained that there are 774 buildings damaged or collapsed, 189 have suffered total damage and 585 partial damage.
In total,527 people have been transferred to public and private hospitals in Caracas from La Guaira, the state most affected by the earthquakes.
The number of international rescuers has risen to 2,624, with 137 dogs and 49 support vehicles.
