The number of deaths from earthquakes in Venezuela so far stands at 5,100
More than 16,700 people have been injured and more than 128,000 families have been affected. Three citizens of Basque origin died as a result of the earthquake of 24 June.
According to the latest official balance sheet of victims from the June 24 earthquakes in Venezuela, more than 5,100peoplehave died, while the injured are around 16 700 , Venezuelan Vice President Jorge Rodríguez reported on Saturday.
Specifically, 5,119 have been killed and 16,740 injured.
According to the authorities, 128,324 families are affected by the earthquakes.
The United Nations estimates that 1.3 million people affected by earthquakes will need emergency care in the next six months.

Venezuela 's chief executive, Delcy Rodriguez, on Saturday rewarded 6,000 South American rescuers and their dogs for their role in the aftermath of the earthquakes.
On the other hand, the Venezuelan Ministry of Ecosocialism reported on Sunday that progress is being made on the Environmental Mediation Plan for the comprehensive sanitation and reorganisation of the state coast of La Guaira.
They say the territory will be reorganized from the perspective of "conscious" planning to combine new uses of space with the protection of nature.
