According to the latest official balance sheet of victims from the June 24 earthquakes in Venezuela, more than 5,100peoplehave died, while the injured are around 16 700 , Venezuelan Vice President Jorge Rodríguez reported on Saturday.
Specifically, 5,119 have been killed and 16,740 injured.
According to the authorities, 128,324 families are affected by the earthquakes.
The United Nations estimates that 1.3 million people affected by earthquakes will need emergency care in the next six months.

Venezuela 's chief executive, Delcy Rodriguez, on Saturday rewarded 6,000 South American rescuers and their dogs for their role in the aftermath of the earthquakes.
