Thousands of Israelis pass four military checkpoints to re-colonize and enter the Gaza Strip
Several ministers of the ruling Likud party are taking part in the so-called "Thousand March" organized by the Nazhala colonization group, which aims to resume the colonization of the Palestinian area.
Thousands of pro-colonization activists,according to the summoners, are on their way to the Gaza Strip to colonize the Palestinian area, where no Israeli civilians have lived since 2005.
Several ministers from the Israeli-ruled Likud party are taking part in the march.
IsraeliFinance Minister Nir Barkat was with Israeli activists, for example, when they passed the first control of the Israeli Armed Forces, a group that plans to reach the former settlement of Gush Katif.
The so-called "Milen March " organized by the Nachala colonization group has already passedfour A0 checkpoints, with hardly any resistance, although officially the area was limited until at least Monday due to this march.
The first checkpoint has been overtaken on Zikim Beach, from where it has been divided into several columns to bypass dunes and avoid police and military vehicles. Some of the activists have reached the border fencewith Gaza, but for the time being it has notbeen revealed whether they have managed to enter Palestinian soil.
"More than ten thousand people in the Milen March for Gaza!" Nachala has claimed on social media. 28 ministers and deputies from the Knesset or Israeli Parliament, members of the governing coalition , have also joined the march to "immediately resume Netzarim, Dogit and the Sinai Valley."
Army sources have informed The Times of Israel that these activists have not been allowed access to the restricted military zone.
"We have settled in all the lands given to our ancestors to show our enemies that it is not worth entering with us, and to show an important picture of victory, "said Israeli Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi. Karhi has called for "roots in all the lands given to our ancestors, even in the region of Gaza."
Currently, the Israeli Armed Forces occupy 70% of the Gaza Strip, as allowed by the US-led peace plan for the Palestinian enclave.
Israel has killed more than 73,200Gazatis during the offensive launched on 7 October 2023, 1,144 since the theoretical ceasefire in 2025.
