Iran warns that "not a drop" of oil will emerge from the Persian Gulf if the US continues its "economic war"

Tehran warned the US on Sunday that if it continues its economic and trade war against Iran, not a "drop" of oil will emerge from the Persian Gulf.

"If the economic war continues, not a single drop of oil will be exported, either through the Strait of Hormuz or anywhere else in the Persian Gulf," said Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesman for the Iranian Parliament's National Security Committee.

Meanwhile, US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Sunday that the war against Iran "is in its final stages," referring to the "economic war" called for last Wednesday, which, according to Bessent, will begin today "the biggest financial attack ever planned against a rival."
