New photos of Maduro have been released from prison: "I want you to know that we are firm."
The photos are dated June 25, 2026, but were released two months later, the same weekend that the US and Venezuela announced an agreement on 20% of oil reserves.
Nicolas Maduro 's official account on theX social network has released new images of theVenezuelan leader in the US prison.
With a good look and a smile on her face, she defines the publication of photos as a "little gift of love and hope", especially for her family. "I send these photos as a little gift to all my grandchildren, children, and everyone who loves us," she says in the message.
Maduro was arrested in January along with his wife A in Caracasfollowing a military operation . Venezuela was removed and taken to a New York prison. Shortly afterwards, it was revealed that A had been charged with narcotics, conspiracy to import cocaine and possession of weapons of war.
In a message made public today, Maduro says, "Know that we are firm, that our hearts are full of your love, and that all your prayers, all your deeds, all our solidarity and all our true help come to us. Thank you for every word, every gesture, every blessing. Enjoy this little gift with joy and hope."
"Cilia and I embrace you tightly, with our soul in you and our faith in God. As the apostle Paul says, 'But in all this we win a great victory, because of him who loved us' (Rom 8.37). We will remain strong, calm, and confident; God [is] with us. God will give us what we need. Venezuela will be reborn. Blessings. ", concludes the message.
Coincidentally, this weekend, Trump announced an agreement with Venezuela to "double" oil reserves, an agreement Delcy Rodriguez has just explained.
