Trump promises Americans $5,000 if his party wins the November election
U.S. President Donald Trump has pledged to donate $5,000 to each American adult if the Republicans win the November 3 election.
Trump has presented the move as a "dividend" for citizens, linking it to U.S. revenue from tariffs. "If the Republicans win, you win with us and you have $5,000, "he said to his supporters.
The president, however,has not specified how the payment would be arranged, who would be entitled to it, or how it would be financed . He has not explained when such a possible transfer would take place.

The November 3 midterm elections will renew the 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the Senate. Republicans face tight elections, and the White House party usually loses representation in the lower house in these elections.
