French government warns of high risk of public order incidents on Saturday
All police forces, drones, helicopters, horse and dog brigades, armoured personnel and water cannons will be deployed.
The French Minister of the Interior, Laurent Núñez, warned on Thursday of the "high risk"of incidents of public order on Saturday, 31 October, in response to which he announced the deployment of an" extraordinary device "of the security forces.
Núñez said at a press conference that strangers have called for violent actions through social networks, which will result in a ban on demonstrations in central parts of the country's major cities.
The minister has pointed out that for the second consecutive Saturday , 70,000 officers will be deployed across the country; in Orleans alone, 3,000 officers gathered last week because there would be a far-right Congress and an anti-fascist demonstration at the same time, and because they feared violent clashes that ultimately did not occur.
All police forces, drones, helicopters, horse and dog brigades, armoured personnel and water cannons will be deployed.
Demonstrations on Saturday have been called by unions, students, and "yellow vests." They have also detected violent calls disguised during the Halloween holidays , so police control will be "greater."
From 8 p.m. onwards, "very violent" calls have been made and these demonstrations will be systematically banned, Núñez said, in addition to being banned from attending demonstrations with a hidden face on the occasion of the party.
