Yellow warning for snow level drop below 1,000 meters
From midnight to 18:00 on Sunday, the snow level will drop to 700-800 meters in the ACV, and in the Navarre Pyrenees the warning will start at 21:00.
The low temperatures and cold of these days have forced the emergency services to activate the yellow snow warning, as the level will drop to 700-800 meters.
In the ACV, from 00:00 on Sunday to 18:00, the yellow snow warning will be activated below 1,000 meters. In the first hour, the snow level will be around 700-800 meters and will rise in the afternoon to about 900-1,000 meters.
The Navarre Pyrenees are on yellow snow warning this weekend, according to the State Meteorology Agency.
On Saturday, from 21:00, the yellow warning will be activated in the Pyrenees for the possibility of accumulating 5 centimetres of snow in 24 hours.
On Sunday, Central and Ribera will also be on yellow warning from 10:00 to 21:00 for strong winds fromthe north and northwest.
In addition, the Basque Government's Directorate of Emergency and Meteorological Care will activate the yellow warning this Saturday, from 21:00 to 09:00 on Sunday, due to the risk on the shoresof the sea, due to the significant wave height that may be around 3-3.5 meters.
