The Basque delegation is at the Venice Biennial
Chaired by the Minister of Culture of the Basque Government, Ibone Bengoetxea, the initiative "I Baschi alla Biennale 1976/2026" will develop an institutional, academic and artistic programme in the Italian city that will remember the artists who 50 years ago brought Basque art to this meeting point in the midst of Francoism.

The Basque Government has been working these days to make the Basque arts more stable in the Biennial of Venice in the Italian city, developing the project "I Baschi alla Biennale 1976/2026". The aim is for the Basque Country to have its own presence in the Biennial from 2028, as explained by the Councillor of Culture.

'evil. Auschwitz 1945 - Gaza 2025 'was inaugurated this Wednesday at the University Pavilion of the Álava campus of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) by the Valencian artist Artur Heras. The exhibition, curated by Anacleto Ferrer, denounces genocide "from a committed and bold artistic look." Gasteiz will remain in the Experience Rooms of Bilbao from 6 to 22 May.
