The aim is for the Basque Country to have its own presence in the Biennial from 2028, as explained by the Councillor of Culture.

In 1976, the famous 1st century marble sculpture was discovered in the vicinity of the parish church of Arkaia. The piece, 13 cm high, 9.5 cm wide and 6.5 cm deep, has been missing for 46 years, until it was returned by the PNV spokesman at the General Meetings of Álava, Jon Buesa, at the request of the judge. It can be seen until 30 September at the Bibat Museum of Archaeology.
