The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao has announced a 66-76-26 installation by Steve McQueen for the museum, which will include two iconic recordings of the song "Wild is the Wind" from October.
This profound sensory experience, which can live in a dark room ,will resonate with the reinterpretation of the original song by Nina Simon (1966), Dimitri Tiomkin and Ned Washington, and the versions by David Bowie (1976) .
The museum specifies that the dialogue between these two versions, recorded a decade apart, invites the viewer to listen to the piece from a different perspective. The museum notes that this melody is defined as "a love song and a cry of nostalgia".
Steve McQueen has been a key player in the artist's career for more than thirty years. The exhibition will be on display from October 9 toFebruary 21.
