Moroccan security forces declared on Saturday that they had thwarted the attempt of hundreds of migrants who had attempted to enter Ceuta illegally, mostly of sub-Saharan origin, hiding outside Fnideq (Castillejos in Spanish), near the border with the Spanish autonomous city.
Moroccan security sources told EFE that the incident took place in a mountainous area outside Castillejos and southwest of Ceuta.
According to the same sources, Moroccan agents have dispersed the migrants, who remain in the area.
