The 100,000-visitor to the Museum of Fine Arts, remodeled and reopened in November, is an 8-year-old bayonet girl who has received a free year-round ticket from the museum's director, Arthur Etchegoyen.

The Board of the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum Foundation met last night at the museum, where next year's artistic programming was unveiled. On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, work is also under way on a new presentation of its own collection. 

The doors of the restored museum in Bilbao opened this morning after several years of work and an investment of 20,397,401.53 euros. For ten days, citizens will have free entry. 

Sorkunde Aiarza, managing director of Bilbao Bizkaia Museoa, will lead the Basque Paya Museum, which manages Bilbao, the Bilbao Museum of Reproductions and the site of the convent of San Francisco.

Lantegi Batuak promotes the inclusion and professional development of people with intellectual disabilities in Bizkaia. He has recently begun a special collaboration with the Bilbao Maritime Museum. Several people have been involved in the reform of the museum's traditional boats in its workshop.

  After a thorough renovation, both architectural and museographic, citizens will be able to access the Basque Museum in Bilbao free of charge until 21 June. The exhibition space of 50,000 pieces has involved an investment of 20,397,401.53 euros between the Diputación Foral de Bizkaia and the Bilbao City Council, and the project has earned a stand of more than 5,000 m2.

Kutxa Foundation will promote the ATENEA project in Tabakalera and propose a more open and interdisciplinary knowledge model.

The Oteiza Museum proposes to explore the relationship between Nestor Basterretxea and Jorge Oteiza in a new exhibition, taking into account the places, projects and events shared by both. 80, through a wide range of works, films, original documentary materials and photographs, shows the joint trajectory of the two creators, which will be exhibited from 26 March to 30 August.

The Rekalde Hall has presented the retrospective exhibition of the famous photographer Nicholas Nixon, who, together with his daughter, has attended the presentation, which brings together nearly 200 black and white images covering five decades of the photographer, of which ten are presented for the first time.

The Lehendakari Aguirre Center, which has led the listening process among the population, has explained that a significant part of these "early narratives" have shifted over the months to a "different trend", since opinions have been collected against the Guggenheim of Urdaibai, but also in favour of the development of the region.

The Guggenheim Museum in the Byzantine capital exhibits more than a hundred new works of art related to nature and earth, from December 5 to May 3, at the exhibition 'The Arts of the Earth'.

The French Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati, the mayor of Baiona, Jean-René Etchegaray, and the Minister of Culture of the Basque Government, Ibone Bengoetxea , among others, have been present for 14 years at a cost of 29 million euros.

The museum closed its doors to the public in April 2011 to facilitate its restructuring and double its surface area from 2000 to 4,000 square metres.
