A short film by Marina Xarri in the Nest selection
In the 73rd edition of the San Sebastian Film Festival, 14 short films will form the Nest section, the section that the festival devotes to students from film schools.
A total of 473 proposals have been submitted from 220 schools in 57 countries, and work has finally been selected from schools in the Basque Country, Germany, Belgium, Slovakia, Spain, the United States, France, India, Malaysia, Mexico, Sweden and Switzerland.
Among them will be Habitat Hotel, ,short film by the Basque filmmaker Marina Xarri, and A solidäo dos lagartos, short film by the Portuguese Inês Nunes at the Elias Querejeta Film School in San Sebastian, premiered at the Cannes Festival.
From 22 to 26 September, the fourteen selected filmmakers will present their works, attend interviews with filmmakers and meet with industry professionals and opt for the 10,000 euro prize.
