The trailer for the movie "Karmele"
The film directed by Karmele Asier Altuna (Amama, Aupa Etxebeste!) will arrive in the cinemas on October 10. The cast is led by Jone Laspiur, Eneko Sagardoy, Nagore Aranburu and Javier Barandiaran.
Before the premiere, the film based on Kirmen Uribe's novel The Time to Wake Together will be seen in the 73rd edition of the Festival from September 19.
Karmelehas the participation of EITB and the story begins in 1937 in Euskal Herria. Karmele and her family are exiled in France after being expelled from their homes as a result of the war. There, Karmele receives a proposal from the Basque cultural embassy in exile to fight the war through dance and music shows.
