This is the first advance of the first feature film by Gernikarra director Oier Plaza, "Popel," a film in which EITB participates that combines animation and real images and shows the results of the research carried out by Professor Unai Eguia. This search from Bilbao to Prague, following the footprints of a deportee who disappeared in World War II, will put viewers across Europe in a surprising history.
It will be seen at the San Sebastian Film Festival and will reach the movie screens on November 4th.

The Association of Film Theaters of the Basque Country (EZAE) has collected data from 2025, with a 6% decrease in the number of viewers in the cinemas grouped to the association, compared to 2024.
