Basque cinema celebrates its grand gala at a Festival that has received more Basque productions than ever before
The actors Sara Cozar and Joseba Apaolaza will present the gala at the Victoria Eugenia theatre, Asier Altuna and Telmo Esnal will receive the Zinemira Prize and Sara Fantova the EITB New Authors Award.
On Tuesday, September 23, the Victoria Eugenia Theatre will host, within the programming of the San Sebastian Film Festival, the Grand Gala of Basque Cinema, by the hand of EITB, a special rendezvous in the year in which the largest number of Basque productions are being presented in the history of the Festival.
At the gala, which can be seen from 22:15, Asier Altuna and Telmo Esnal (Txotx! Aupa Etxebeste, Agur Etxebeste) will receive the Zinemira Prize, awarded by the San Sebastian Festival and EPE-IBAIA (Association of Independent Audiovisual Producers of the Basque Country), on the 20th anniversary of the premiere of the film Aupa Etxebeste.
GIDOI + SGAE Award for Best Screenwriter in the Basque Country will be awarded to Borja Cobeaga for the screenplay of Los aitas ; EAB Impulse Award for Recognition and Promotion of Performance by Mira Gaztañaga for her career as an actress; EZAE Award for Arantxa Echevarría
In the Victoria Eugenia will be Lara Izagirre, Ivan Mi○ an○ b○ res, Marian Fernández, Arantz○ cal○ le○ ja, Kepa Err○ asti, Diego San José, Mikel Pag○ adi, Aitor En.The gala will begin at 7:00 p.m. and can be seen from 22:15 p.m. on streaming.
