Silver Film Festival honors Elena Irureta
The fourth edition of the festival, which will take place from 20 to 24 April in Bilbao, has included the screening, talks and lectures of 16 films, inviting you to live majorities and sex regardless of age for five days.
The fourth edition of the Silver Film Festival will take place this year from 20 to 24 April in Bilbao under the slogan "Love & Sex (without age)". In its programming, the festival proposes "a cinematic and social reflection on how today older people live desire, emotion, relationships, breakups, love and sexuality.
At the opening gala, on April 20 at the Arriaga Theatre, the festival will award the Silver Prize to actress Elena Irureta, and "Dorados 50" will later be shown, a film directed by Victor Cruz and Alejandro Vagnekos.
The selection of films includes seven feature films and nine short films, including '80 Egunean' (Jon Garaño eta Jose Mari Goenaga); 'Maspalomas' (Aitor Arregi eta Jose Mari Goenaga); 'My Friend Eva' (Cesc Gay); and 'Elsa & Fred' (Marcos Carnevale).
Among the talks, on April¢2 the BBK Hall will host a colloquium on "Film Desire: Coordination of Privacy" (19:00), in Spanish, by Maitane San Nicolás, Tábata Cerezo and Lucía Delgado, and Jon Garaño will give a lecture after the screening of "80 egunean" (16:00).
On April 23, after the screening of 'El placer es mío', will be held in Spanish the talk 'The Distance between Life and Cinema', about the gap between the real intimate and affective life of the elderly and its small space in the cinema.
Tickets will cost 3 euros for sessions at the Arriaga, the BBK Hall and the Guggenheim Museum.
