It's hot in Lapland
There are three big, slow, compact, thoughtful, thoughtful, controversial films on the screens next to our house, far away and inside. We need to be able to form a solid (even terrifying) view of the world yesterday, now and tomorrow. These three films put before our eyes the inner angles of power, including blind and sharp angles.
Being very intense, we'll have to give ourselves a break after we've seen it. We'll have to stay away from the movies, not stop thinking about it, but immerse ourselves in the magical world built on celluloid.
In fact, if it weren't for the magic emanating from the cinema, we could easily detect the deception so delicately invented by the production designer of Lapland Eider Ruiz and the decorator Claudia Alejandra. But I think every time we go to the movies (the same thing, when we approach the show of a good magician) we sign an agreement with the film, deceive me sweetly, I'm ready.
The film by David Serrano, who directed the beautiful Dias de Fútbol, tells how a couple from Madrid and their son will go to Lapland invited by the sister of their wife, who is married to a Finn. Little Martin wants to know Bizarzuri's place of residence.
The film begins at the airport of Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland. Monica, Ramon and Martin have just arrived. No spectator will notice that there is no march in the area. But, in fact, it is none.
We will then enter the house of Nuria and Olavi. Eleven films coming from northern Europe have trained us to recognize the architectural characteristics of their houses and the design of their local furniture. They love wood. They also love minimalist spaces. The rooms are spacious, the lights run without being luxurious.
On a Scandinavian set built in Mungia, Bizkaia, 3,941 kilometers from Rovaniemi, this bitter tale was filmed , just the bitter but sweet story that takes place inside.
We went to Lapland to take a break from the three juicy, sharp-mouthed films we mentioned, and there we fell into the arms of the malicious magic of cinema.
