New films by David Ilundain and Helena Bengoetxea, in cinemas
The director of "B", "La película" and "One for all" premieres "Mallorca confidencial" and Bengoetxea, "Petrus", documentary.
The film "Mallorca confidencial" by David Ilundain (Pamplona, 1975) and the documentary "Petrus", directed by Helena Bengoetxea (Pamplona, 1967), arrive in cinemas today, Friday.
Ilundain ("B, the film") directs "Mallorca confidencial", a story starring Lolita Flores, Asia Ortega and Jordi Sànchez: "Beyond the idyllic postcard that usually shows transparent water and Mediterranean calm, the film goes into the darkest corners of the island to unlock a complex knot that spins ambition, family secrets and high corruption."
On the other hand, Petrus brings us closer to Joseba Lekuona, who sculpts works of art for an exclusive art market. On the other hand, retired professor Simeon Hidalgo barely maintains the Petrus Museum, a cultural project in the middle of nowhere, where Mayor Elsa Plano transforms the survival of the valley into his vital crusade. Joseba, Simeone and Elsa cross their paths and each in their own way transforms everyday life into a form of resistance.
In addition, starting this Friday, with the Adi! Filmak Euskaraz programme, there will be an opportunity to watch the Finnish animated film "Fleak" in Basque.
