"Buzzheart" Dennis Iliadis of the Greek has won the award for the best feature film in the Official Section of the Fant Fantastic Film Festival in Bilbao.
The jury this Friday announced the record of the 32nd edition of the festival and, as for the short films, thework 'Hyena' Altay Ulan Yang en has won the award for the best short film in the Official Section for "creating a magnetic atmosphere as dream as it is to portray in a very original way a recurring theme like bullying."
The award for the best Basque short film at thefilm festival will be for 'The Body of Christ' by Bea Lema, for her "courage to bring the comic book to an animation technique that links tradition and modernity."
The Basque Writers Association has awarded the award for the best screenplay of feature films in the Official Section to the French filmmaker Lucile Hadzihalilovic 'The Ice Tower', while the young actress Lorena Mariñelarena will receive the award for the best performance of Basque short films from the Union of Basque Actors - EAB for her work in the skin of Joxepi in 'Erreka Zoko Hortan'.
Finally, 'Gaua da luze' Itziar Lamarka eta Ane Alvarez's film will receive the EITB award for the best project to produce a short film in Basque, with 5,000 euros.
Fant's 32nd edition will end tomorrow, Saturday, at 7.30 p.m. with a closing gala in the BBK Room.
