Armengol explained that he met Victor Aldama because he was an adviser to the President of Air Europa

The current president of the Congress and former president of the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol, has said that she met Victor de Aldamaat a meeting she had with former European Air President Pepe Hidalgo during the Covid pandemic because he was Hidalgo's adviser.

Armengol made these statements this Tuesday at the SenateInquiry Committee  on the branches of the Koldo case.

"I have not lied or concealed any information," he has repeated several times, when Vox's spokesman, Ángel Pelayo, accused him of lying in his first interrogation. The former president of Las Generales has assured Vox's senator that he will not be found in corruption cases; "I have a lot of peace of mind," he said.

In this context, the President of Congress has insisted that in previous committees of inquiryhetold "everything he remembered" and "everything he knew." He explained that when he was President of the Balearic Islands, he received more than a thousand people at the hearing, "and it is impossible to remember all the names and surnames."

That is why, after Aldama said he met with him, he detailed that he looked at the entire agenda of his presidency with his secretary. "The only explanation we have found is that Aldama was present at my meeting with the president of Air Europa, Pepe Hidalgo," he added.

Likewise, Vox's senator has cited some potential messages between Aldama and Armengol , but the president of Congress has denied the existence of these whatsapps and has insisted that he has no contact with Aldama, who is involved in the Koldo network.
