The president of the Basque PP, Javier de Andrés, has stated that the decision to replace the leadership of the Bizkaia People's Partyresponds to "a proposal by the National Directorate" and aims to "improve capacity".
De Andrés, in statements to the media at the Festival de la Vintage de la Rioja Alavesa in Leza, referred to the announcement made on Saturday by the president of the Bizkaia PP, Raquel González, and the general secretary of the party, Eduardo Andrade, to "facilitate a change of direction" .

Having stated that the proposal will be adopted 'by consensus', he has indicated that this amendment must be 'good for Bizkaia'.
