Ubarretxena has a meeting this Monday in Madrid on the competence of airports
The establishment of the Subcommittee on Airport Management and Infrastructure was agreed by the President, Imanol Pradales, and the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, in the Bilateral Cooperation Committee in July last year, with the aim of analysing and discussing the various forms of transfer in the management of airports in the Basque Country.

The Counsellor for Governance, Digital Administration and Self-Government Maria Ubarretxena meets this Monday in Madridto discuss the transfer of theBasque Country .\u00Ubarretxena will meet at the Ministry of Public Policy and then appear to report on what has been agreed at the meeting.
In the Bilateral Cooperation Commission in July last year, President Imanol Pradales and the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sánchez, agreed to set up the Subcommittee on Airport Management and Infrastructure, the aim of which is to analyse and discuss the various forms of transfer in the management of airports in the Basque Country.
On 1 November, Ubarretxena participated in the establishment and first meeting of the Bilateral Subcommittee on Airport Management and Infrastructure, and stated the objective of the Basque Government to ensure that the Basque Country has the greatest possible competence to manageits airports, as laid down in the Gernika Statute.
In this regard, sources from Ubarretxena's department have indicated that they are trying to find "the best formula for managing airports in the Basque Country" and that they will be working on it at tomorrow's meeting as well.
