Nora Abete (PSE-EE) presents her candidacy for mayor of Bilbao
The current deputy mayor of the Bilbao City Council and spokesperson for the PSE-EE has explained that his candidacy stems from "proximity, listening and decision-making."
Bilbaine Nora Abete presented her candidacy for the primary on Friday to head the PSE-EE list in the Byzantine capital in the municipal elections scheduled for May 2027.
Abete has stated that wants to"lead a new project for Bilbao , ambitious and people-centred "and has argued that the city must maintain its transformative capacity, but" focus on people and neighborhoods. "
The candidate believes that in the coming years they will face challenges such asaccess to housing , transformation and improvementof neighbourhoods, mobility, sustainability, job creation and opportunities, and the need to continue to guarantee quality public services .
"I want a Bilbao where a young person can imagine their future, a Bilbao where a family can access a home where our elders can live peacefully and all neighborhoods have equal opportunities," he said.
Abete has assured that his candidacy stems from "closeness, listening and decision-making."
The socialist spokesman has also claimed the role of the PSE-EE in the transformation of Bilbao in recent years and has opted to give new impetus to the socialist project.
