Patxi López, Rafaela Romero and Javier Hurtado will head the PSE-EE list to Congress
Daniel Senderos, Alberto Albistegui and Txema Oleaga will be at the top of the list for the Senate.
With a view to the general election on November 29, the PSE-EE is closing its candidacies. On Wednesday afternoon,the committees and directorates of each territory will meet to present the heads of list to Congress and the Senate. Patxi Lopez, Rafaela Romero and Javier Hurtado , respectively, from Bizkaia, Gipuzkoa and Álava.
Once approved by the territorial bodies, the lists will receive final approval on 17 October at the PSOE Federal Committee in Fuenlabrada (Madrid).
In its note, the PSE-EE stresses that it has opted for the PROFILES that have "significant political weight" and "a good understanding of the reality of the three territories".
In Bizkaia, the current spokesperson and president of the CongressofDeputies , Patxi López, will repeat as the head of the list, along with the current Secretary of State for Equality and the Elimination of Violence against Women, María Guijarro, and the General Secretary of the Socialist Youth of the Basque Country (JSE-Egaz) and the deputy Gabriel Arrue.
In Gipuzkoa's candidacy, Rafaela Romero will again head the list after being a deputy in the last legislature. During this time, they have stressed, "she has acquired extensive knowledge in areas such as housing, transport or equality." However, the most notable novelty is that the PSE-EE General Secretary of Gipuzkoa, José Ignacio Asensio, will be number two on the list.
In Álava, the list will be headed by the General Secretary of the Territory, Javier Hurtado TERRITORIAL, after six years as Counsellor for Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs. The party has highlighted its "strong political profile" and "extensive management experience." Second and third place will be the City Councillor of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Ana López de Uralde, and the Managing Director of the Public Society, Igor Salazar.
Among the list heads to the Senate, Txema Oleaga has been a member of the Upper House in this legislature, while Daniel Senderos has been a member of Congress and Alberto Albistegui has been the PSE-EE spokesperson at the General Meetings of Gipuzkoa since 2024.
