Treviño City Council has agreed to apply to the Spanish Government for permission to conduct a consultation to join Álava.
To this end, a vote was taken in the morning and the motion was passed by an absolute majority, with only the two PP councillors voting against the motion.
As they did in the 1998 People's Consultation, they wanted to gather the views of the citizens Trebiñu Araba's entry table through today's vote.
The Town Hall of La Puebla de Arganzón, for its part, will hold a vote at 7 p.m.
Treviño's neighbors live 15 kilometers from Vitoria-Gasteiz, but they depend on Burgos, a limit that makes their daily lives difficult, for example in healthcare.
However, today's vote does not in itself determine anything, since the Spanish Council of Ministers has the last word.
