The Foral Government and EH Bildu have concluded an agreement to push through Navarre's budgets
They will use the same formula as in the previous seven years: EH Bildu will abstain, making it easier for the project to move forward.
The Foral Government of Navarre, composed of PSN, Geroa Bai and Zurekin, has reached an agreement withEH Bildu to approve the Foral Bill of General Budgets of Navarre 2027. As in recent years, the left abertzale will facilitate the approval of the draft budget by abstaining from the final vote.
The agreement was signed at the Palace of Navarre with the presence of the Economic and Finance Adviser, José Luis Arasti, together with the three Vice-Presidents of the Government, and the spokeswoman for EH Bildu, Laura Aznal, together with MP Adolfo Araiz.
Counsel Arasti then handed over the draft budget to the President of Parliament, Unai Hualde.
The agreement signed this Friday states that EH Bildu undertakes to vote against any amendments to the whole that may be tabled by any parliamentary group, as well as to facilitate the adoption of the bill by abstaining from the final vote.
The spokeswoman for EH Bildu in the Navarre Parliament, Laura Aznal, has stated that "these are not budgets that EH Bildu would have made", although she believes that they have improvedthe preliminary draft presented.
The 2027 draft budget amounts to EUR 7,284.8 million, up 8.1% from 2026, and more than half will go to social affairs.
Once delivered to the Foral Parliament and following schedule, the draft is expected to be approved on 17 December.
