A young Vitorian who took part in the demonstration on Sunday at a Spanish Falange event in Vitoria-Gasteiz has reported that a foam ball fired by the Ertzaintza hit him in the face, breaking his jaw. The Ertzaintza, for its part, has reported the opening of an internal investigation .
Infront of the microphones of Radio Vitoria young Aritz Ibarrareported on Sunday at noon that while the Ertzaintza was sponsoring an event of Falange Española, threw a ball directly into his face from adistance of five meters .
"As I was on the run, I was shot straight five yards away, and at that moment I felt my mouth broken and full of blood," he said. Police officers, when they saw the sound, "were scared," he said. So the next day he was operated on in the hospital and, as he said in the young man, "luckily everything went well."
Yesterday he filed a lawsuit in court and released the video of the impact on the X social network once he filed the complaint. "Yesterday the lawyer recommended that we file the complaint with the courts before making it public, and then we made the case public," he said.
EH Bildu has described what happened as' very serious'.
Arkaitz Rodriguez , Secretary of Political Action and Member of Parliament of EH Bildu, made statements to the media minutes before the start of the plenary session of the Basque Parliament, in which he described the attitude of the Ertzaintza as' very serious'. 'This young man's jaw breaking seems to us to be a very serious incident', he said.
Rodriguez has pointed out that "there are videos and photographs" and that "everything suggests that this is a police action that could be illegal, once again".
In this regard, it has called on the institutions to "take responsibility" and demanded that they be "self-critical" and take "concrete measures to ensure that this does not happen again."
Zupiria insists "there are no charges"
