Three of the nine plates that the Durango City Council placed last week in memory of the people killed by ETA in that municipality have appeared today with paintings.
Two of them have been painted red "Gora ETA" and one with the victim's name painted black.
These plates were placed following the agreement between the PNV and the PSE-EE and the PP, which make up the municipal government.
The local government has described these paintings as " absolutely unacceptable and reprehensible by the whole of society. "
