The fire originated in a house last Wednesday. The firefighters have reported that the fire alarms did not work properly. So far, the authorities have arrested five people suspected of being responsible for the tragedy.

A major fire broke out in an urbanization in the Tai Po district in northern Hong Kong. Flames quickly spread because of the bamboo scaffolding placed on a block. Police do not rule out more people trapped in three burning buildings.
