The Basque Government

The president has warned that "history shows that everything can happen again" and the danger of a "neo-perial" world in today's international context.

The Ministry suspended its meeting with the Strike Committee and the Autonomous Communities on Thursday to address the conflict over the Framework Statute on the grounds that one of the parties had "breached" its part. The trade unions have stated that the Ministry's proposal to set up specific tables in the communities is legally "unworkable" without changing the State rules and have therefore refused to do so.

It is one of the transformative projects of the Industrial Plan and will be led by Petronor, which will bring together a total of 51 companies, 23 of them small and medium-sized enterprises.

Each union has filed a separate appeal with the High Court of Justice of the Basque Country. The Vice-President and Counsellor for Economy, Labour and Employment, Mikel Torres, has stated that if the conflict in Iran persists, it will "probably" affect the Basque industry, such as the one that caused the ERE in Tubos Reunidos or the possible ERTE in Tubacex, since, according to Torres, "the Basque industrial sector is closely linked to this international trade and the energy situation".

As a result of Article 100.2, since last March, he has only been in prison to sleep during the week and weekends. This decision obliges him to stay in prison.

The Councillor for Governance, Digital Administration and Self-Government and spokesperson for the Basque Government, Maria Ubarretxena, has stated that "nothing is broken" and has stressed that the talks between the PNV and the PSE-EE to strengthen the legal security of the Basque Country in the OPEs "continue" and "there is still room" to reach an agreement.

With regard to the benchmark rental price index in high-voltage areas, the Power Stations believe that "it helps to consolidate the rise in prices . Although there is a limit to increases, prices can continue to rise," they said.

The Triennium Plan aims to strengthen coordination between the Basque Government, Member States and local authorities, as well as cooperation with social and economic actors.

The amount earmarked for the Hazitek programmes, which are part of the measures to deal with the conflict in the Middle East, will amount to EUR 169 million.

The Basque Government will approve tomorrow, with the Decree on Urgent Measures , the "social shield" in the area of housing .  Among other things, the fee to be received by the owners will be 700 euros and higher in tense areas. 

The lehendakari, Imanol Pradales, has reproached EH Bildu for not having supported a single major "country" agreement in these two years of legislature and has asked him to "get wet" . Otxandiano, for his part, has warned that the "disagreements" between the two parties, partners in the Basque Government, on issues such as the Euskera, are "an obstacle" to progress.

The President and CEO of Aena, Maurici Lucena, has argued at the Shareholders' Meeting that Spanish airports of general interest are subject to a specific legal regime provided for in Law 18/2014, protected by the Constitution, which declares the exclusive competence of the State over these infrastructures and protects private property and the freedom of enterprise, but has welcomed cooperation and coordination with the Autonomous Communities, provided that the limits of the Constitution are respected and the autonomy of Aena is not altered.

The Basque Country has indicated the desirability of taking measures to reduce the interinity rate at the\u00A0Maria Ubarretxena Government Spokesperson and  Minister Oscar Lopez at the working meeting. The process of concurrence has gone from around 50% to around 14% and is expected to approach 8% by the end of the legislature.

Interviewed on Radio Euskadi, Counsellor Nerea Melgosa has criticized the Sánchez Government for ignoring the allegations made by the Basque Government to the regularization process, including recognition of the efforts of migrants studying Basque.

Health Counselor Alberto Martínez has stressed that of the 332 initiatives included in the Health Pact, 282 (85%) are already "under way" and that there is a "clear impact" of these measures on Osakidetza.
